Named after a wild flower that grows around the cellar of Planeta, Plumbago is made with the grape Nero d’Avola, the most important Sicilian variety. A profusion of scents of red fruit, plums and ripe blackberries dominate with hints of incense, jasmine and black truffle. The tannin texture is varied and combines its soft, sweet and seductive aspects with elements of cocoa. Is best served with oxtail soup and beef burgers.
