Gorgeous pale gold in colour with a first nose that is redolent of lemon and citrus, bergamot, mango, white flowers - jasmine in particular - and pollen. Starts off taut and lively on the palate, developing considerable roundness. Flavours of fresh herbs (a hint of chervil and basil) and lime open up to notes of peach and barley sugar, followed by almond. A beautifully, delicious well-made wine. Savour this wine with grilled lobster, grilled and fried fish, chicken or turkey in cream sauce. That Sunday lunch of macaroni and cheese with baked chicken and steamed vegetables.
