Beautiful pale gold in colour, with a discreet first nose that evokes chestnuts, both fresh and candied, beeswax, biscuit and sugared almonds. These aromas gradually open up to scents of yellow-fleshed fruit, notes of pollen and white flowers (daisy, wild rose), freshly cut hay and cereal aromas followed by hints of vanilla and marzipan. This expression of aromas continues to build up, becoming exceptionally complex and finishing off with refreshing scents of mild citrus - bergamot and candied mandarin - underscored by a touch of jasmine. On the palate, a very round and deep initial impression is followed by tautness and minerality, accompanied by a hint of flint. The wine is supported by lovely acidity that finishes on a slightly saline sensation with nuances of anise and light toast on the finish. Without a doubt.
