Blackened Fish Taco with Toppings

Marielle of Hooked Barbados is turning your kitchen up a notch with her flavorful, Blackened Fish tacos! Fish tacos are an easy way to impress others with a blast of flavour!

How to prepare this dish

Ingredients:

Mango salsa

  • 3 tomatoes diced
  • 2 mangos diced
  • 1 red onion diced
  • Small bunch of basil
  • Small bunch of cilantro and shadon beni
  • 4 garlic pods
  • 1⁄2 red onion
  • 1 scotch bonnet

 

Fish

  • Mahi Mahi
  • 3 tablespoons of any wet seasoning of your choice
  • 3 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 juice of limes
  • Black pepper
  • Salt

 

Gucamole

  • 1 1⁄2 cups of yoghurt
  • 3 avocados
  • 2 lime juice
  • 1⁄2 Red onion
  • 5 garlic pods
  • Small bunch of cilantro
  • Small bunch of basil
  • Dash cayenne
  • Olive oil

 

Taco shells

  • 8 cauliflower taco shells

 


Instructions:

  • Add small bunch of basil to blitzer along with small bunch of cilantro and Shadon beni to diced tomatoes and mango.
  • Blitz 4 garlic pods and 1/2 red onion
  • Add 1 scotch bonnet for heat
  • Blitz 4 garlic pods and 1/2 red onion and blitz
  • Add 1 scotch bonnet for heat
  • Season Mahi Mahi with 3 tsp paprika 1 tsp cayenne 3 tablespoon of any wet seasoning of your choice
  • Heat taco shells
  • Grill fish
  • Blitz ingredients together for Gucamole and Assemble tacos. Enjoy!
