Chianti is one of Italy’s great classic reds, while Riserva denotes a superior wine with ageing. This 91-point 2019 is from a family estate we've worked with for 30 years. It hails from Tuscany's highly regarded Rufina area, producing long, silky Chianti. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months, this wine delivers a rich, complex feel on the palate along with ripe plum, morello cherry and bitter chocolate complexity. What wonderfully intense aromas, in the form of prunes, cherries, red berries, liquorice, earth and baking spices.
