Here is a wine with a rich and complex bouquet of warm, spicy red and black fruits rolled up in tertiary notes of cocoa and earth as well as a hint of minerality. On the palate, it offers a moderately full-bodied feel followed by a mid-palate which is velvety and displaying copious tannins. There is substantial fruitiness of black fruits as well as well as balanced woody notes. Rich, flavourful unfolding into an incredibly well-made wine. The perfumed finish lingers long after in the mouth.

Juicy and fruity, this wine is hiding its richness at this stage. But it will be a concentrated wine boasting great fruitiness. Drink from 2024. Roger Voss

Deep garnet-purple in colour, the 2017 Gazin has a beautifully fragrant nose of potpourri, chocolate covered cherries and spiced mulberries with a core of warm plum and cherry cordial plus a waft of wild blueberries. Medeium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm frame of ripe, rounded tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy.
